The leading mobile application and content providers

August 2002

Mobile Metrix, has developed an evaluation system to use when evaluating a mobile application and content provider. Evaluating a company on these issues and especially on a combination of these issues, helps to identify the winners to partner with as well as a useful list of inappropriate partners. Examining how well a particular mobile application developer has fared in relation to these criteria provides a way of measuring the potential staying power of a mobile application provider. Using these criteria in an analysis undertaken by Mobile Metrix and published in August 2002 led to an average profile for the industry as illustrated below. This analysis is an update on that published in January 2002.
